A few short weeks ago, over 70 attendees packed Florida House on Capitol Hill to celebrate, and we still can’t stop thinking about it. What started as a small idea is now a room full of people who show up for each other, thanks to people including Trustee Angelina Khourisader, who helped build the program.
The highlight of the night was hearing from guest speaker Phoebe Miles, co-founder of the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention and daughter of Dr. James Robert Cade, lead inventor of Gatorade at UF. She spoke about her family’s story, which painted the perfect picture of the kinds of Florida ties that brought us all to Washington, DC.
Thank you to everyone who came out, and to everyone who’s helped build this over the past year!
