At the Florida House, 20 selected works from the Florida Virtual School Foundation’s Artful Expressions: A Universe of Possibilities are on exhibit through the fall, celebrating Florida Virtual School and Florida Scholars Academy students.
This event was coordinated with Mike Miller, Treasurer of the FLVS Foundation Executive Board, who promised to make it happen and delivered. Foundation Director Beth Brunner and Dayna Schmutz helped bring all the moving pieces together. The exhibit was an excellent complement to this year’s rotating exhibit already at the Florida House: ‘Florida’s Legacy of Launch’.
Niki Ward-Suydam, Claire King, Robert Weissert, and the entire Florida House team were happy to provide hospitality, food, and drinks, making this a memorable evening for FLVS students. Welcoming representatives from the Capitol and keeping the artwork on exhibit through the fall gave the young artists an extraordinary platform.
Thank you to Melanie Bostick, FLVS Director of External Affairs and National Advocacy; Barrett Winder, FLVS Specialist, State External Affairs; and Rep. Aaron Bean and his scheduler, Erin Newton, for supporting the showcase.
The three student artists attending proudly represented their fellow exhibitors with contagious excitement and joy. Behind the scenes, Aiden and SySy, our FLVS Foundation Student Ambassadors, worked their tails off. We’re proud of their dedication to helping other students succeed!
