The Florida House Hosts Inaugural United for First Responder Families Event

We were grateful to gather with old friends, new friends, longtime supporters, distinguished guests, and leaders from across the country for our inaugural United for First Responder Families event—all brought together by a shared commitment to those who serve.

We were proud to honor Senator Jim Justice of West Virginia, joined by Babydog Justice, and George Latimer for their leadership and commitment to children of first responders. We look forward to making this an annual tradition, recognizing public servants who champion first responder children and families in their states.

A special thank you to leaders of FRCF’s Government & Business Relations Committee and event co-chairs Tom Livingston and Matthew McCauley, for helping bring this meaningful evening to life. We were also honored to have FRCF Scholar Amanda Talbott join us, representing the incredible scholars and families at the heart of our mission. And a big thank you to CSXand Florida House on Capitol Hill for helping make this special event possible.

Our gratitude also goes to SERVPRO® Team Olson, Mike Wakefield of Holland & Knight LLP, Christopher Senn from Greenberg Traurig, LLP , John G. Newman with Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company , SERVPRO Team Gutierrez , Cole Staudt from T-Mobile, Amber Rhodes with Ulta Beauty, Chief Pagel with DC Fire and EMS Department , the DC Fire & Emergency Medical Services Foundation and Amy Mauro, and all the dignitaries who joined us and made the evening so memorable.

When leaders, partners, and communities come together to support children of first responders, we can provide peace of mind to the heroes who run toward danger in communities across our country.
