Florida House takes pride in providing our visitors with an exceptional experience. In recent months, we have demonstrated this commitment through newly curated exhibits and advanced technologies designed to enhance the visitor experience. We are excited to announce our latest exhibit, “Florida’s Legacy of Launch: Aerospace and the Sunshine”, which commemorates 75 years of the American space program and highlights Florida’s crucial role in its development and success. This exhibit also features upcoming missions, such as Artemis 2, which aims to send astronauts around the moon… something that hasn’t been accomplished since 1975. The exhibit officially opened on February 11, 2026, and includes memorabilia from Cape Canaveral, provided by the Space Force Historical Foundation.
Prior to this, The Florida House hosted “The Sunshine Stories Exhibit”, a collaborative display with the University of Florida’s George A. Smathers Library. This exhibit showcased maps, photographs, and illustrations that explored the creation of various cities and landmarks from the 16th century to the early 19th century.
Our exhibits attract a diverse range of visitors, including high school and college students, as well as guests from Washington, D.C. We work collaboratively with all groups to create an immersive and educational experience. One of our newest additions is the TranslateLive ILA Device, which provides real-time translation for conversations in multiple languages to enhance the experience for our non-English-speaking visitors. Be sure to follow us on Instagram or visit our website to learn more about upcoming exhibits and events.
