The Florida House hosted the UCF Alumni Networking Knight, welcoming approximately 40
members of the University of Central Florida alumni community in Washington, DC for an
evening of connection and conversation. The event brought together UCF graduates to
connect with fellow Knights and expanded their professional networks. Guests enjoyed
food, drinks, and engaging conversations in a relaxed setting intended to facilitate
meaningful connections. The program featured two distinguished UCF alumni working in
government relations: Will Lusk, Director of Education and Government Relations at the
National Tank Truck Carriers, and Eric “Tubby” Shwedo, Associate Vice President for
Federal Affairs at UCF. The speakers shared insights and experiences from their careers
and emphasized the value of the UCF Washington, DC alumni network in building
professional opportunities. We look forward to welcoming the alumni group to the Florida
House again for future networking events.
