Florida House Interns

Florida House Interns

Florida House Interns

In 2024, four to five students interested in the operation of a nonprofit organization including event management, hospitality, education, marketing, communications and social media, technology and government will intern at Florida House for the summer.  Not only will they take on projects specifically designed for their strengths and interests, they will welcome guests, give tours of Florida House, complete administrative work, and organize meetings and events including the popular Congressional Intern Seminar Series. All will spend two days a week in Congressional offices to broaden their Washington, DC experience.

Florida House is a nonprofit organization and generous Floridians and Trustees make this program possible.  Your donation of $1,000 enables these young Floridians to more ably afford their eight-week stay in Washington, helps us expand the program to Spring and Fall, and gives students an experience that will help them jump start their career.

From a Summer, 2019 Intern:

“I have accepted a job with Deloitte Federal Consulting in DC, and the intern experience shifted my career choice dramatically! During my interview process with Deloitte, I was able to really leverage my first hand experience with interacting with policy and lawmakers. I learned quickly that I am a problem solver and personally am more passionate about the policy, not the politics, of the lawmaking process. I am beyond thrilled to be able to combine my passion for policy with my business school background to help serve and solve problems for the US Federal Agencies!”
